BRIEF REPORT ON THE VALUES & PREFERENCES FOR COVID 19 SELF TESTED IN NIGERIA
Good Women Association, through its staff, participated in a week long research survey on the values and preferences for COVID-19 self-testing kit Nigeria.
The research survey project, which held between August 16th-22nd, was a collaborative effort between the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics of Switzerland [FIND] and the Institute of Public Health, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, was aimed at determining the favourable disposition or otherwise of respondents to the impending introduction of self-test kits of Covid-19 infection.
The survey took place in 9 middle and low income countries, with Nigeria being one of them and in 5 states of our federation, viz; Lagos, Anambra, Kaduna, Akwa Ibom and Benue States
The Good Women Association representative was opportune to carry out the task using View Ranger and KoBocollect Apps to determine Point of Interest and administration of questionnaire respectively in Ikorodu Local Government area of the state. Although, not an easy task initially, but it turned out to be an interesting experience.
GWA aim of improving the wellbeing of vulnerable women and young girls by facilitating their access to appropriate sexual health and right information and services as well as life skill development that support their successful transition to livelihood in Lagos State, Nigeria.
